Gras Gendarmerie carbine, 11mm caliber, marked Model 74, year 1877, therefore one of the very first models. It features an M80 modification with an improved breechblock to enhance gas extraction. As you can see, the breechblock has some minor pitting, but this does not affect its perfect function. This is a chrome-plated version, which is quite rare. The markings are in excellent condition, deep and very visible. A very fine collector's item and a historical weapon. The overall length is 112 cm, and the barrel length is 61.05 cm.
